About this experience
Behind the Coral Coast, a short drive inland from Sigatoka, the village of Biausevu looks after a waterfall the locals call Savu Na Mate Laya. Getting there is half the pleasure — about thirty to forty-five minutes on a mostly flat track through the valley, crossing the same shallow stream nine times as it winds back and forth. Wear sandals you don't mind soaking, or hire a pair at the village hall. At the end the water drops into a deep green pool you can swim in, and most people stay in far longer than they planned. Before or after the walk you'll be welcomed into the village, share kava, and have time to talk with the people whose land you've just walked across. Lunch, your guide, the village entry fee and hotel transfers are all included.
Cancellation. Cancellation terms are confirmed at the time of booking; tours may be rescheduled after heavy rain, as the walk includes nine stream crossings.
