About this experience
This is the day most people talk about long after they've flown home. You'll board a purpose-built jet boat at Sigatoka and run upriver into the highlands, with the skipper throwing in the 360-degree spins the safari is famous for. Then the engine cuts, you step ashore at a Fijian village, and the pace changes completely — a kava ceremony, lunch cooked by the villagers, singing and dancing, and time to simply sit and talk with people who live there. Part of what you pay goes straight back to the village that hosts you. It runs twice a day, Monday to Saturday, with pickups from Sigatoka, the Coral Coast and Nadi or Denarau. Children four and up are welcome and under-threes travel free. Bring a change of clothes and something for the sun, and expect to get a little wet.
Cancellation. Cancel at least 48 hours before departure for a refund; no refund within 24 hours of departure.
